This camera isn’t meant for covert purposes. If spying/viewing (no judgement here) is your primary purpose then you should seek a micro hidden type of camera to meet that purpose - there are many brands available online. This is more of a pet, family or general capture device and it’s a great little camera.

There is a light on when the camera is operating.  I suppose you could cover it with a small piece of black electrical tape to make it less conspicuous.

yes you can turn off the led light in the settings can you can manually record.
