• The camera will alert you of movement while your away and provides sound also. I have mine working without Google. The Eufy app takes care of your concerns

• I'm not sure about Google assistant as i dont use it. I can tell you that if you have the app for this camera that the app it self will send you alerts. You can taylor them to a point and use its local storage to view what caused the alert assuming internet connections on both ends...
