The light will reflect on the glass making it impossible for the camera to see. I have two of their indoor cameras mounted in windows but there’s enough light at night to where my cameras don’t need additional light. These are very good cameras. I recommend you getting a motion activated solar light and place it outside the windows if needed. I have this cameras in the rear of my property which is pitch black at night. I have its auto night vision on and the spotlight to come on when motion is detected.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not only will the glass interfere with the spotlight, it’ll interfere with the night vision IR LEDs too. This camera is designed to be placed outside, you just need to make sure there’s a covered power outlet close to it.
