Initially, I thought the base station had to be connected to a router but it does not. I have my base station in my garage connected to my WiFi.

Please try again later.After pairing the base with your modem/router with the ethernet cable you can unplug it and then pair it wirelessly if you're going to install the base away from the modem/router I suggest you use a Wi-Fi extender. I have a camera above the garage door so the base is in the garage. The second camera by the side gate so I'm using a Wi-Fi extender as my modem/router is located in a back bedroom. Connect the base with the cable only if you're going to place it by the router. Good luck...I like monitoring even when I'm at work via the Eufy app.
