“How portable is this system? I’m interested in bringing a portable camera security system with me when we travel, to be used in hotels and rental homes. We have dogs and I’d like to keep an eye on them when we’re away.”

It is portable and can be used when traveling coz the home base is considered small but the only thing is that those cameras are designed to be mounted which can nor be done in hotel but i believe you can set using a table but it will be not secured as if pet hit table or camera itself, it might flip over
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I guess you can make it portable. You just need WiFi where ever you’re at and set it up all again and set the camera down As opposed to hanging it up.
