The item is for outdoor use. However, in order to avoid the problem of rapid aging of equipment due to excessive sunlight or heavy rain erosion, we recommend you use some cover to shield the surface of the outdoor cam if there is a lot of sunshine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and No. Given enough time, everything degrades in UV light and the housing is plastic which lends itself to being even more effected by UV. The lens is glass so I wouldn't expect any yellow image issues over time but I could see the housing cracking or getting brittle. No way of knowing how long that would take.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So far no fading or discoloration physically seen. The view seems ok so far when looking at video. It is an outdoor camera tho! Highly recommend this item!
