• Yes, it has terminals at the back to connect to existing doorbell wiring. In that optional configuration, the internal battery serves as backup. The battery also gets automatically charged by the power input from existing doorbell wiring. I'm happy with my dual cam running in battery mode. No false notification and no missed notifications too for that matter. Turning ON the Package Protection / AI Assistant affects the battery life and the integrity of its basic motion detection functionality. My suggestion is to leave those "beta" modes OFF. Turn OFF the activity zones too. Just lower the sensitivity if you get false notifications but do NOT turn on the activity zones. Eufy needs to work on their buggy "beta" AI.
