Answer This Question

Can video recording be paused? Yes. You can manually stop recording at any time from the eufy Security app by disabling the recording schedule or turning off motion detection. However, the camera primarily records based on events or a set schedule—there is no single "pause" button for live viewing. Will it record animals for use as a trail camera? Yes, it can work as a trail camera. The SoloCam E30 features AI motion detection that can identify and record animals, not just people or vehicles. When motion is detected, it triggers a recording and sends an alert to your phone. The solar panel keeps it charged for extended outdoor use, making it suitable for monitoring wildlife. However, its field of view is wider and it lacks the specialized camouflage and extreme low-light sensitivity of dedicated trail cameras.
