HomeKit and Siri compatibility are the primary, included feature and purpose of this device; no subscription is required. Once you download the Eve app and pair the device to your network, all Siri-capable Apple products can control the device using the Home app and voice/trigger/shortcut/conditions control.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You don't need to use Apple homekit to benefit from the features. It just expands the capabilities since you can just ask siri to turn something on or off instead of loading the app and manually tapping the on/off button.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Their answer is misleading. I bought after seeing this and found it is garbage without homekit. Yes, it pairs with the iphone, but ONLY on bluetooth. Walk away from the plug and doesn't work. You also can't schedule a timer without homekit. The feature is there but they block it. My purpose in buying was to set up timers while traveling. Sure it works with SIri if I want to drive home and connect to Bluetooth and turn it on and then go back to where I was. Garbage without homekit - and that assumes it works with wifi with homekit. If still bluetooth then garbage for everything. Why put a plug on bluetooth??? Oh, it also goes offline rapidly even for bluetooth and have to keep connecting.
