My eve weather sensor is outside and 3 walls away on the same level as my homepod mini that it links to and it works fine. I do also have multiple eve door sensors as well which are all thread devices as is this weather sensor, so they do form a thread mesh network to strengthen then network connectivity.

They can use Eve “Thread” to enhance their connectivity and I do have a couple of those to enhance my connectivity to a third device mounted outside on my deck.

Yes, you can monitor the temp and humidity on your IPhone from anywhere remotely. That helps me manage my pool flow during freezing conditions.Good feature!
