Q: QuestionWill this card work on a mid 2010 mac pro? WIth updated mac OS?

• A:Answer good luck with this onel my brother in law (computer engineer). meshed windows 8.1 with and mac os. it worked for 6 months and everything crashed. apple is very stingy with its parts. its like a booby trap. macbook pro has at its best a low end nvidia graphics card and a dual core i7. and this setup is 4,000 to 5,000 range. my old nvidia 765m on my laptop would still outperform a top end mac book pro low end nvidia graphics card. macbook pro is simplly not for gaming (especially ultra 4k gaming).

Q: QuestionWill this work with PCI Express 2.0 x16 mother board?

• A:Answer Yes this card will work just fine in a PCIe 2.0 x16 slot. The PCI standard is that all devices must be backward compatible. Meaning, you can use a 3.0 device in a 2.0 slot, but you will only get PCIe 2.0 bandwidth (which makes things slower at low-level hardware level, but you probably won't notice much difference).
