• first off, to overclock your processor you need a motherboard that can support it, second is recommend safe clocking. 3rd it ain't going to meds with your ram

• No it won't. I'm running this on my 1st gen i7 870. This was a cheap upgrade. It'll run fast on a newer mobo I'm sure.
