“I know nothing about item EVga rtx 3060 ti. Trying to buy for a home bound 13 yr old boy, my grandson. In looking at others I found where some were 8 pin and some were identical but 6 plus 2 pin??? If there are different setups is this one an 8 pin?”

it doesn't really matter the card should come with an adapter if it is a not normal connection so you should be ok with your normal power supply cables just use the 12 pin adapter if this model comes with one.
