Hi Rraa. Yes this camera can record video onto the sd card without a wireless signal. I have 16 of these cameras in Puerto Rico. In Puerto Rico, the internet goes out every now and then as does the power. I noticed that even though I lose Internet access, I still have the recordings because the power was still online. So, as long as power is being supplied to the camera and you have a formatted SD card in the slot (that is recognized by the Camera), the camera will continue to record video and sound. In my opinion these are some of the best cameras on the market for the price. The Video and Sound quality is really good. I have had to return some of these cameras though because the sd card slot doesnt always recognize the card. I have to be really careful when inserting the sd card into the slot so that it is seated properly. At one point, I had to send back one of these cameras with the SD card stuck in the slot. However once you get a camera that does not have this problem, it works just fine. Just make sure you buy the sd card with the camera and that you insert that sd card before you do anything else. Then once you setup the camera on your phone, run right to the camera settings and make sure that the memory card formats properly. If it does not, remove the memory card and blow on it a bit (like we used to do with the Atari games back in the day:). Then put the sd card back in and try again. If that doesnt work, send it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
