• No they do not need the physical portal device in their house but will need a device that has the Facebook messenger installed. The portal can work portal to portal or portal to another device with Facebook messenger.

• No and the only requirement is they have a Facebook account with message. Can be used with your cell phone as long as you have Wifi. Very clear in the ad what is required
