Yep, it sure does and auto-focus generally takes less than a second under good lighting. In low-light, it can hunt a bit, but it's still really quick.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This lens is fast. Mine takes under one second to be in focus. It is an auto focus lens. The reason why many people say it is slo, is because the lens has to be updated with the latest firmware, which is easy to do through the Sony website. I own this lens and I love it paired up with my Sony A7ii. It is a really great deal for $250.
