Hello Cee - this heater is not rated for therapeutic or sauna use. We do not have data to compare our unit to sauna units. It is not highly water-resistant and should only be installed where it will be shielded from most water exposure such as under a permanent porch roof (occasional spray or humidity is generally ok).
