Yes, even though there are no wires this unit offers a wireless communication feature between all of the same model detectors so if one unit sounds an alarm they will all sound an alarm.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am researching this, based on the First Alert website, this would be an "interconnected" feature and the Z-Wave products they say are not interconnected, so I believe the answer is no. See https://support.firstalert.com/s/article/Ways-to-Interconnect-Alarms where it says, "Do Z-Wave alarms interconnect? No. Z-wave alarms don't interconnect with other alarms. They communicate with smart home hubs (sold separately). Z-wave alarms use a specific frequency of radio waves to link with Z-wave hubs like Samsung SmartThings or the Ring Hub." I do not own this yet, so I could be wrong. But I would double check this.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased 9 of these to add to my "smart" home and Ring system and although they connect with Ring and work perfect individually THEY DO NOT INTERCONNECT WITH OTHERS WHICH IS REQUIRED BY CODE IN MOST STATES. I was not able to pass my home inspection as when the test button is pressed on one, it only chimes that one, not the others but it does notify me in the Ring app. VERY disappointing I have to replace all 9 of them in order to pass inspection and cannot return them as I'm outside the window...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, but if you have a z-wave compatible hub you can send yourself notifications.
