• I think you will be obligated to the Google Home App in the very near future, even if First Alert now works in the Nest Protect App.

• Hi, the SC5 Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors must be onboarded initially with the "First Alert app", while onboarding it, it will give you the option to pair it to the "Google Home app". If you have nest protects, you'll be able to monitor them along with the SC5 detector on the "Google Home app".— Charlie
