• The lack of the pathway light makes this a big downgrade from the original Nest detectors!

• Hi! Thank you for reaching out. The SC5 Smart Smoke & CO Alarm does not include a motion sensor or the Pathlight feature, so it won’t light up your path at night or function as a night light.
