Hi! Thank you for reaching out. The SC5 Smart Smoke & CO Alarm does not include a motion sensor or the Pathlight feature, so it won’t light up your path at night or function as a night light. That said, this feature is currently being considered for future versions, so stay tuned for updates! If you have any other questions, we’re happy to help.— Charlie
