• Yes, I have an alta and a HR. I wear the HR when I am at the gym or exercising the alta the rest of the time. The app syncs them and keeps track of the steps on both.

• Syncs wth only one fitbit at a time. You would need to remove one device and sync the other one. Easily do-able.

• Yes, you just can't sync 2 of the same type.
