The Stock strap is, yes. Replacement straps are readily available unlike earlier wrist trackers. The official Fitbit straps are a bit on the pricy side, but third party straps are available in the $30 range, leather, metal, multiple styles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The black strip that ships with it is the same material, but the frame and fasteners are much nicer and less likely to slip or pop off during use. There are other (pricey - ~$100) bands that are available now that come in different materials - including leather. It makes it changeable for fashion purposes, but at a steep price right now.

The Blaze has given me less irritation but still I can see some redness below the strap where the clasp is located. My thought is there may be some nickle in their products that cause irritation.
