You just go to the Exercise screen and choose run. It will pair with your phone and record your run. It has pace, distance and will map out the route on Google maps. You can see the map on the App on your phone and your pace/time/distance on your watch.

On the activity menu of the Blaze you need to flip to 'Exercise" and pick from Bike or Run. Next, the mini menu will walk you through connecting to your phone and the GPS. You will need to manually turn this feature off after your finish your bicycle ride or run
