We don't know about the Charge 3 but it's likely to be similar to the Charge 2 which Fitbit says: "The buckle and frame on Charge 2 are made of surgical-grade stainless steel. While all stainless steel contains traces of nickel and can cause an allergic reaction in someone with nickel sensitivity, the amount of nickel in all Fitbit products meets the European Union's stringent Nickel Directive." I have a nickel sensitivity and have to be careful what touches my skin including belt buckles, necklaces and anything with pewter. I wear the Charge 2 nearly 24 hours per day and have no problem. But others have reported sensitivity. Probably worth trying and returning if it doesn't work out. Other customers have mitigated the situation by using sport tape or moleskin. I think the vast majority of people are OK with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My fb2 does not give me issues, but if it did I would coat the metal with clear nail polish like I do all other buttons on jeans & jewelry. It takes longer to wear off than tape or moleskin.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi i have a nickel allergy and i bought my fitbit charge 3 about 2 years ago. I didnt wear it all thetime at the start but over the last few months i am wearing it to work. I have recently developed a rash around where the buckle of the strap is and im wondering if there is nickel in it also.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a very bad nickel allergy and have never had a reaction from my fitbit charger 2,
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a nickel sensitivity. I have worn the Fitbit for 2 years now and have just recently began to see a rash on my wrist. I will also say that I have slacked off on cleaning it with alcohol daily.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not sure if different models use different materials for the buckle, but I believe that the buckle on the Garmin Vivosmart 4 has nickel in it, as I get very itchy little hives anywhere that it is touching.
