As long as you have bluetooth connectivity and can download the app you should be fine. I think you do all of the on a tablet.

Then you can plug it into that and charge it on the wall if you don't have a computer to plug it into. The cable that comes with the Fitbit is USB on one side and specific to the Fitbit on the other.
