• You have to hold the power button for 3 seconds and it wil turn on with the beat and 5 seconds for it to stay lit

• I'd return if you've already fully charged and made sure it's in the band correctly. Make sure it's fully in the band so it connects. I had to return my first one because it stopped suddenly but this one is just fine. Not working is not the norm - I know many who've not had any problems.
