I am allergic to latex. What is the Wristband made of? null

According to Fitbit: "We are aware that some of our customers have reported a skin irritation from wearing their Force device. We conduct testing in order to satisfy a variety of internationally accepted standards relating to the safety of the materials in our devices. Fitbit wristbands are made of an elastomer material similar to many sports watches AND DO NOT CONTAIN LATEX [emphasis mine]. It is made of some elastomer material and does not contain latex I believe.

I also have an allergy to latex. The band is a manmade material that is water and sweat resistant. Cannot be worn in shower or lake. Make sure you dry your skin under the band well to prevent chaffing. I wear mine while doing dishes, powerwalking, cleaning house and gardening. No problems and have been wearing it 24/7 for 3 mos. I only take it off to shower. Hope I was of help.

alita I am also allergic to latex perhaps that is when I first bought wore it tight and my skin develop 2 small blisters where the snap is but I am also allergic to nickel. Wearing loose I have been ok.

I do not believe it is latex. My son has a latex reaction and the strap does not bother him at all.
