“What features make the Fitbit Surge worth $100 more than the Fitbit HR? I'm trying to figure out what features (and why those features) make the Surge a better idea than the Fitbit HR. I have a flex.”

• I had the Charge HR and opted to go with the Surge. I needed a larger face. It does a better job of tracking heart rate due to the wider band.

• GPS. That is the only added benefit or extra of the surge. I wanted a fitbit with a heart rate monitor and i ended up choosing the Surge just because of the GPS . My suggestion is , if you don't need a GPS save yourself some money and get the Charge HR.

• GPS, Exercise, treadmill, hike, run, bike options. Bigger screen. Would never go back to the Fibit HR from the Surge.

• It has the hardware to do multiple sport modes where as the charge hr is primarily for runners

• For me it's the GPS and that it will sync to your music it will also alert you to your text messages and phone xalls

• I like the different program modes you can put the surge in that aren't available with the charge. I also like the bigger watch face.

• This one has both heart rate and GPS. Fitbit Charge HR doesn't have GPS, so if you're a runner and want to keep track of your runs it's the best of both worlds.

• I dont feel there are features that support the cost differential. I think if you want HR go with a ChargeHR. you get the monitoring but you get a smaller more manageable package.
