It is not waterproof! I have heard of people swimming with it, but I personally don't trust myself with it! I don't swim with it or shower with it, etc. But it definitely is NOT waterproof.

However, it is not a good idea to submerge this device too often. Even though it will continue to work well if dunked in water, it cannot stand the water pressure generated when swimming.
