Yes you can set it up to do an alarm which will vibrate on your wrist. I have mine set up for a specific time and it works without any issues whatsoever.

You need to configure it in the software (mobile or PC) and it will download to the device on your next sync. The alarm is a vibrating type(no sound) and does not go off until acknowleged. It will only last for a few seconds. This may not be enough to awaken some people. It is hit or miss with me.
