Not sure what a life cycle is. But if you want to track your heart rate during normal activity (sitting, walking, sleeping) this should work fine. I have found that while running the bpm is inaccurate, between 20-50 bpm lower. I previously tracked my heart rate while running with a Garmin chest strap and watch. I hoped that this watch would remove the need for that, but I was quite disappointed with the heart rate functionality while running. If a life cycle is a medical device, I'm not sure if I would trust the heart rate monitor to be accurate enough.
