“Separation from phone notification? I currently own a pebble watch and if i leave my phone somewhere the watch will vibrate that i have become out of range(bluetooth). Does the Surge do the same thing?”

The surge does not alert you that you are out of range. It will keep tracking and once it comes within range it syncs up.
