It can receive texts and does allow verbal responses to be sent with an opportunity to see and make changes b4 sending. It does not allow you to call or initiate a text.

No calls, but you will only able to do "quick replies" when you receive a text message. For example: "I am on my way." The response will show "Ok; Yes; No; Maybe; and etc." You can also set what you want in the FitBit app under the "messages" tab as well, but that will only be for the "quick replies" instead.

You can get text and answer calls we haven’t tried making a call
