Good day Sir/Madam, Thank you for your interest in our FLTR product. It is a clear shield that you are able to look through. There is a protective film that is placed on both sides of the shield that would need to be removed before use. If you do notice that it is dull, it will be due to the protective film not being removed before use. Kind regards,
