• The actual Fortnite game is free, you can download it off of Nintendo's eShop right now. This is some in-game content for the game. It comes with a code on a piece of paper rather than a game cartridge. It's either the case that the code will prompt you to install the game or you'll need to install the game first. If your grandson is into Fortnite already this is still a decent purchase since it's more stuff in the game

• Fortnite is a free downloadable game. You first need to download fortnite, then you get a code with this add on that will add it to the game.
