Yes. You can receive and send texts. You can either type out a text or use voice feature to dictate a text.

You can. Receiving is easy, notification pops up, tap on it, message pops up. Replying is sort of easy, hit reply, select a suggested response - easy, hit the microphone button and use voice to dictate a response - little more challenging, hit the keyboard icon and try to type a response on a keyboard that has all the letters on a 1 inch by 1/4 inch screen - not easy.

You can receive and respond to texts. As far as I know you can not initiate a text message and send it only respond to received ones.
