When I redeemed the code everything went well except I only received a 1 month subscription. I have used iTunes for years but never had a Paid or trial subscription To Apple Music. null

I called regarding the same problem. The woman said that the system is having an error sending a one month code instead of a four month. Call them and they will generate a new email with the correct FOUR month code.

I too received only 30 days instead of 4 months. When I called Best Buy and finally reached a rep (45 minutes) she argued with me that ZI was doing it right. I asked for a supervisor and she transferred me back to the ueue. I took my $400 headphones back and returned them!

iTunes customers were offered 4 months of free music. I did not use it, but when I purchased an Apple product they only gave me one month. I guess they figured that they had already offered that once. I did not use the one month either.

Huh, I thought I was the only one with this issue. I reached out to them on Twitter and they said I have to contact Apple regarding getting 1 month instead of 4 months. Here is the screenshot:

Same thing happened to me today. bought a HomePod. went to redeem News+ (worked) and Apple Music (got 1 month). I just got off the phone with Best Buy support (tried chat and they said call 1-888-237-8289). Called and they sent instructions to my email for how to redeem the additional 3 months - what Best Buy doesn't tell you is you MUST create a new Apple ID in order to redeem. I asked her why I couldn't just use my current Apple ID and redeem the additional 3 months. She said that was not possible and only available for new Apple Music subscribers. Told her I have never subscribed to Apple Music. She said I must be mistaken. NOPE. Then she told me to create a new Apple ID, use a different credit card, and address. Told her I only live at one house and if I should lie. She has that is the only way I would be able to redeem. 

So I'm taking my 1 month and simply not buying from BB again.

I'm having the same exact problem. I tried chatting online with an agent and they just redirected me to call the customer service phone number. I'm kind of mad. I hope they fix it.

Same thing happened to me today. I only got one month after entering the redemption code. However I found the solution. 
After you enter the BestBuy redemption code go to iTunes and scroll all the way to the bottom and you’ll see an option to claim 3 months free. Press it and now your Apple Music under subscription is 4 months. Thanks.
