I called regarding the same problem. The woman said that the system is having an error sending a one month code instead of a four month. Call them and they will generate a new email with the correct FOUR month code.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same thing happened to me today. bought a HomePod. went to redeem News+ (worked) and Apple Music (got 1 month). I just got off the phone with Best Buy support (tried chat and they said call 1-888-237-8289). Called and they sent instructions to my email for how to redeem the additional 3 months - what Best Buy doesn't tell you is you MUST create a new Apple ID in order to redeem. I asked her why I couldn't just use my current Apple ID and redeem the additional 3 months. She said that was not possible and only available for new Apple Music subscribers. Told her I have never subscribed to Apple Music. She said I must be mistaken. NOPE. Then she told me to create a new Apple ID, use a different credit card, and address. Told her I only live at one house and if I should lie. She has that is the only way I would be able to redeem. So I'm taking my 1 month and simply not buying from BB again.
