What does "new or returning subscribers only" mean? null

Just means if you’ve already had a music subscription or not. Either way you can use it!

I believe if you recently used a free trial or have already been paying for apple music, you might not be eligible, you can try applying it again in like a month or two if it sees you've been inactive it might work.

Basically it means it’s available for anyone regardless whether you’ve never used it (new) or used it before/now (returning subscribers).

If your account is current and you’re paid up then you have to wait to use it until you aren’t active. Use it the day after your current subscription ends.

If you are a new subscriber it means it’s your first time using the product. If you are returning, it means you are “renewing” your subscription

Basically that you are not a current active subscriber.

If you have had apple music you can use the offer or if your a new user

It means that if you have an active account that you regularly pay for, you cannot get three months free. If you have recently canceled or never made an account then you can.
