“There was a question asked on Nov. 27 that still wasn't answered clearly: Does this microwave require venting to an outside source? Or can it be installed to recirculate air?”

Hi SouthBayChef! This microwave oven is designed for adaptation to the following three types of ventilation, outside top exhaust (Vertical Duct), outside back exhaust (Horizontal Duct) and recirculating (Non-Vented Ductless). I hope this helps! -Thanks-

Yes, this microwave can be installed for recirculation. In the installation guide for this microwave the manufacturer list the options for recirculation install, outside top exhaust, and outside back exhaust

Just spoke w Frigidaire and they said there is NO rear or top exhaust conversions for this model. Only interior/front door exhaust vent. There is also no mention of these modification options in the manual. Can this be confirmed?

It does not require venting.

We have it set up to vent to an outside source from the top , it can be set up to bent from the back as well. But it also has vents on top near the front , the area that isn’t covered by the cabinets.
