• I also would like to know this. I need an oven replacement that does not require to be plugged in electronically, as the area has no outlet, only a gas connection.

• It requires a regular 110/120 outlet. However, the electric is only required for the spark and is merely a convenience feature. You can also light this stove with a match, so you really do not need a backup power supply to use this stove to cook during an outage.
