“Are the remote controls of the 8,000 and 10,000 BTU units compatible? I have the similar 8,000 BTU unit (FRA086AT7) with the temperature-sensing remote control. Can I use the thermostat feature on that remote to control this 10,000 BTU unit? In other words, could I switch the two remotes? I also have the 6,000 BTU unit. Aren't I a swell customer?”

Only own the 10000 btu unit - but I would suspect the remotes are the same. It would be easy enough to simply try it & see.
