Q: Questiondoes this ice maker have a self cleaning function?
Asked by TOPHAT.
- A:Answer Hi TOPHAT, this model does not have a "self clean" function. Keep in mind that the self clean function simply turns off the refrigeration system as it circulates water. There are instructions in the User Manual of the proper cleaning procedure and it's a relatively simple process.

Q: QuestionWhat's the difference between this one and the one that is $20 less? Any reason I should get a built-in icemaker for a new refrigerator instead of this? New house, water line available but I'm concerned about the icemaker taking up too much room.
Asked by Marsha.
- A:Answer I am not sure what the difference is. I also had an ice maker in my refrigerator but the ice still had a “taste “ . I use distilled water in this machine and there is absolutely no taste to the ice. I have had no problem with it taking up too much space.
