• Thank you for your inquiry, Terrence! We do not recommend to not use an extension cord or adapter plug on your product for safety reasons. The power cord of the appliance is equipped with a three-prong grounding plug for your protection against electrical shock hazards. It must be plugged directly into a properly grounded three prong receptacle. We certainly hope this information was helpful to you. –Ciara

• Yes you can use an extension. In fact i have kept this in my garage and am using 6 ft extension cable.
