• A:Answer Hello there, Bigmoose! Based on the Frigidaire manual for the 13 cu. ft. Garage Ready Upright Freezer (FFFU13F2VV / similar models), the unit does not have exposed coils on the back. What the manual and design show: The freezer uses a frost-free, sealed refrigeration system Heat exchange components are enclosed inside the cabinet or built into internal panels The back exterior is designed to be flat and close to the wall for garage or tight placement use There is no user-accessible condenser coil assembly on the rear (no visible “radiator-style” coils like older freezers) Bottom line: No — according to Frigidaire’s manual and design, this freezer does not have exposed coils on the back. The cooling system is enclosed and designed for flush rear placement. - Maico
