QuestionYou didn’t answer the question. I am asking: if the unit is 12” high why do you say the height requirement is 14”? What accounts for the other two inches?

- Answer There are two mounting flanges that are about an inch high each . So that makes 14 inches . The two flanges are connected to the unit with screws and can be removed . But in that case, you would have to secure the air conditioner in another way or it will fall out of the window .

QuestionHow low can you set the temperature for?

- Answer 60 degrees. My bedroom is 15 x 18. I set the temperature to 71 and the timer to turn the unit on about 30 minutes before I arrive home. My bedroom was cool during the recent heatwave in the northeast.

QuestionIs this model discontinued? Best Buy’s website about a month ago said “Add to Cart” but now it only says “Find a Store” and that it is unavailable within 250 miles from my location. I was looking forward to getting this model.

- Answer It uses a regular wall outlet . Since it takes about 450 W when it's running and a normal outlet circuit can provide around 1800, you can share other appliances as long as all their combined wattage is not more than 1800.

QuestionDoes this unit have a low-power start design? What I mean is the discontinued Frigidaire FRA052XT7 description said it had a low power start which sounded like an "easy start" control module which avoids the large current surge when first turning on.

QuestionIn looking at the pictures, I see the metal mounting brackets on the bottom of the unit. Does not part go on the inside of the window or does it sit in the actual window well?
