Hello FSW. It is recommended NOT to install the appliance where the temperature will drop below 0°F (-18°C) or rise above 110°F (43°C). The compressor will not be able to maintain proper temperatures inside the unit. ~ Anna

These parts may/may not be made in china, just know they're newer models sure don't last like before. The fact they now build most their products in foreign countries and use so many foreign parts in what is built here is why the virus interrupted production in a big way. Had it all been made in USA or Canada even they'd still be making everything I'm sure. Oh ya' the freezer, I bought a model like this in 2012 that was capable of being outside no problem. Mine was actually on my car port right in the central part of the US for 2yrs with no issues. It had a door lock, something else they removed today to save a buck here if you hadn't noticed? I just pass on freezers without a lock. Sad they need a buck that bad huh? But' my temp always maintained fine if freezer was inside/outside both as it was originally in our other homes basement. I made the mistake of selling our freezer to a friend while moving so now I need another one. Frigidaire has seriously let all their customers down on availability for almost an entire year as we all know to well. Frigidaire freezers are still not available as I type? Now' with all this extra waiting time I found more time to read up on their appliances and I learned Frigidaire products certainly aren't what they once were these days so I'll be buying another brand of appliances for our new home. So' clearly it all worked out better anyway here. My old freezer is still running fine btw, but with answers/reviews for these newer models stating they cant even run properly in outdoor temps is clearly a fair warning about its compressors build quality today. Regardless were its sitting imo its just lower quality folks. Shame too because these were some good freezers back in the day.
