- Answer Hello, Rayray. We appreciate your inquiry. This model uses a mechanical arm (bail arm) to detect when the ice bin is full. When the bin fills, the arm is pushed up, triggering a switch that stops ice production. As the ice level drops, the arm lowers, and the ice maker resumes production. Please know that the ice maker should produce 2 to 2.5 pounds of ice in a 24 hour period. We hope this information helps! - Christi

- Answer Delivery guys removed my front door to get the fridge in. Removing fridge doors is a project. Whoever delivers the fridge will definitely not want to take the fridge doors off. It's much easier to take your entryway door off.
