Comparing the Specification Sheets for the two models, the FFHT2045VW is ENERGY STAR Certified (385 kWh Annual Energy), while the FFTR2045VW is not ENERGY STAR Certified (427 kWh Annual Energy). It's surprising (disappointing) that Frigidaire could not provide the correct answer!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same question. From the specs, the FFTR2045VW is energy certified while the FFHT2045VW is not. Otherwise, they have the same dimensions (W 30", D 32", and H 66 3/8"), are 20 CF and are icemaker ready (You would have to buy the icemaker kit IM117000 if you wanted that option.) Otherwise, the FFTR2045VW is less expensive by $50.00. I would opt for the energy certified model.
