• It will shut off when you choose the energy saver setting, otherwise it will stay on but the compressor will shut off.

• Christina : Yes. Instructions for how to set the desired room temp. with the remote came with your A/C unit. The unit is automatic. Once the desired temp. is set, the unit will maintain that temperature automatically. - ralph
