Hi foodguy2! Thank you for reaching out. There is no specific minimum clearance required between the microwave rough opening and cabinet doors above or below. The microwave is designed to fit flush within the cabinet cutout and be finished with the trim frame, as long as adjacent doors or hardware do not interfere with the microwave door’s operation. If installed over a wall oven, a minimum of 3 inches of clearance between the appliances is required.
